Creative Crash Course

The creative department is like Narnia. If you know where the door in the cupboard is you might get there but if you don’t…you won’t get there without help.

This event was born out of a need for greater transparency about how to become a creative. In Brisbane especially where Adland is a little more like Advillage the pathway to getting a job is mystical. I enlisted the help of three killer creatives, Carissa Jackson and Ash Kennedy - Publicis ACD Duo and Jessamy Ross the QLD Head of AWARD School.

We shared tips on how to get noticed, the best pathways in, the anatomy of a good idea and of course - how to deal with feedback and rejection.

As a result of this event at least four attendees were accepted into AWARD School (out of a cohort of 15) and many others have also made in-roads on their journeys towards Narnia.
